Candidates must have a high school diploma and a minimum of five years of related experience. Basic understanding of the Sewer Inspection Specifications and GIS database, understanding of the inspection process, ability to read utility maps, plans, and as-built drawings, and familiarity with sewer inspection protocols is required. The ability to work alone and team environment as well as working with a diverse team with various levels of experience is essential. Prior utility locating and management experience is preferred. A valid driver's license and the ability to work on multiple projects across North Caroline is required. Candidates should be self-motivated and able to work well with others. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Assist with the implementation of the program to safely identify and remediate cross- bores
  • Provide daily coordination with sewer inspection contractor field crews and contractor management
  • Verify office and field level compliance, provide and document QC audits, and provide contractor(s) training as required
  • Develop an evaluation method to assess the program and identify areas for improvement
  • Implement and manage changes established and approved by clients
  • Meet with stakeholders to make communication easy and transparent regarding project issues
  • Attend seminars and/or training classes
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment
