Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in civil/mechanical engineering, a Professional Engineer license and a minimum of fifteen years of related experience in natural gas transmission systems/design/clients. A proven track record of successful Client Representation and managing large revenue clients is also required. Excellent communication and organizational skills are also required. Typical responsibilities include:
- Oversee and grow design team of midstream/transmission systems
- Knowledge with medium, standard, and high-pressure steel and plastic pipe and pipe components
- Experience with the design and construction of natural gas M&R stations
- Experience with the design and construction of natural gas compression stations
- Assist with/review scope, budget, and schedule of new project tasks
- Monitor task budget and progress
- Work with and mentor junior design team
- Document design changes and communications
- Conduct on-site inspections as needed
- Prepare project status and other reports
- Responsible for the preparation of proposals
- Perform Project Manager duties
- Attend client, public, project and staff meetings including client progress, plan review, pre-construction, etc.
- Attend seminars and/or training classes
- Grow and maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
