Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent, four or more years of land and/or construction survey experience and a valid driver's license. Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. Typical responsibilities include:
- Conduct various types of surveying including boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, subdivisions, construction stakeouts, etc.
- Interpret maps, plats, construction drawings and specifications
- Oversee the daily operation of a survey crew
- Document work performed and sketches
- Adhere to company standards for processing and storing data
- Perform various survey calculations
- Organize and maintain survey documentation
- Operate and maintain survey equipment
- Communicate project status to Project Managers and clients
- Research project information at the Registrar of Deeds
- Prepare forms and other paperwork in a timely manner
- Attend seminars and/or training classes
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Maintain excellent client relations
- Maintain a safe working environment
