Candidates must have ten or more years of prior relevant experience with an electric utility consulting company or performing electrical distribution, transmission, and substation design engineering and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering is a preferred. Experience in the design, operation, construction, and maintenance of overhead and underground distribution lines, transmission lines and substation systems is an essential part of this position. Exposure to utility standards, and an understanding of construction techniques and familiarity with overhead and underground design software, the National Electric Safety Code, and utility best practices required. Knowledge or MicroStation, AutoCAD, utility GIS is needed, SAP/Maximo is desired. Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 90 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include:

• Knowledge of distribution and substation over-current protections program
• Capability to conduct power quality investigations
• System outage management
• Development of system inspection programs
• Development of distribution system construction plans
• Distribution system model development
• Load forecasting
• Design of mainline and vault medium voltage switchgear, network system design, and distribution system protection and coordination
• Perform quality reviews of project deliverables
• Attend and/or conduct client and project meetings
• Maintain excellent client relations
• Promote sales
• Review scope, budget and schedule for project tasks
• Assist with proposals, marketing, project reports and technical presentations
• Maintain a safe working environment
