Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in civil engineering, ten to fifteen years of experience in design and project/task management and a Florida Professional Engineer license. Knowledge of Florida permitting at a local, regional, state, and national level and CADD is also required. A Project Manager Certification is preferred. Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule available after 90 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include:
- Manage and provide technical support for transportation/roadway design (local and Florida Department of Transportation), stormwater, potable water and wastewater, and general municipal civil engineering projects
- Responsible for project proposal development including positioning, approach, preparation and pricing
- Responsible for project execution including scope, schedule and budget
- Manage resources to successfully deliver project to client on time and under budget while meeting or exceeding client expectations
- Provide design/technical expertise to project
- Coordinate the design function with various team members on the project
- Ensure project engineers have knowledge and tools to complete tasks
- Maintain lasting client relationships
- Generate additional sales through business development activities
- Supervise engineering project review (QA/QC) process
- Develop and complete applications, permits, reports and/or specifications as required
- Assist with project reports and technical presentations
- Attend client, staff and project meetings
- Estimate fees, review project plans and specifications
- Maintain a safe working environment
