Candidates must have bachelor's degree in civil engineering, at least ten to fifteen years of water/wastewater project experience, and a New York PE license. Experience with the New York Department of Environment and/or the Department of Design and Construction is preferred. Trench and safety training and OSHA 30 Hour training is a plus. Individuals must have strong communication skills, be self-motivated and able to work well with others. A valid driver's license is required. Typical responsibilities include:

  • Act as the on-site liaison with client and community
  • Conduct field inspections
  • Develop retroactive or forward-price scope of work changes and/or claims by multiple methodologies
  • Develop a detailed understanding of plans and specifications
  • Monitor construction operations
  • Lead or assist with Requests for Information responses
  • Lead or coordinate claims analysis with project team members and clients
  • Coordinate/communicate with contractors regarding construction project activity
  • Coordinate with Engineer of Record as needed
  • Record inspection daily reports
  • Assist with recurring client or regulatory reporting
  • Assist Project Manager with contract requirements
  • Review shop drawings, where appropriate
  • Help address field changes, as appropriate
  • Organize and maintain construction documentation with cloud-based document control interface
  • Identify and help mitigate potential project risks
  • Review and interpret construction CPM schedule
  • Act as senior resource for field inspectors and project colleagues
  • Attend or facilitate project progress, coordination or pre-installation meetings
  • Attend seminars and/or training courses
  • Maintain excellent client relations
  • Maintain a safe working environment
