Digital Graphics and Rendering Specialist

Position Description:


We are looking for a Digital Graphics and Rendering Specialist, who specializes in 2D and 3D renderings who will work alongside the Landscape Architects in our Community Design Team, creating digital exhibits that bring the team's designs to life in our Detroit office. The candidate must have high school diploma, but a degree in a visual arts field, in landscape architecture, or a similar degree is preferred. 0 to 10 years of similar work experience is required. Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, as well as with 3D modeling and rendering software (such as Lumion, Sketchup, Rhino, 3DS Max, Blender, V-Ray, etc.). Knowledge of Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Revit, as well as knowledge of landscape architecture and design fields is preferred. The candidate must also be self-motivated, work well with others, and have excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills. A flexible hybrid-remote work schedule is available after 90 days of employment. Typical responsibilities include:


  • Create visual exhibits that help the internal design team and client understand the formal and aesthetic possibilities of concepts and designs. These include site and layout plans, ground and aerial perspective renderings, and others as needed.
  • Perform services to support concept design through schematic design
  • Rapid iteration of exhibits based on a conceptual prompt or design
  • Strong foundation in visual storytelling
  • Assist in making technical presentation graphics
  • Articulate ideas through hand sketching and delineation
  • Other graphic responsibilities include creating diagrams, logos, text document enhancements
  • Attend various meetings (client, staff, public, etc.)
  • Adaptable, able to work on multiple projects with changing requirements, updated client requests, and tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills and ability to be a good team player
  • Maintain a safe working environment


Education:


  • High School diploma required
  • College degree preferred


Skills/Experience:


  • Zero to ten years of related experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Proficient use in 3D modeling and rendering software (Lumion, Sketchup, Rhino, 3DS Max, Blender, V-Ray, etc.)
  • Knowledge in Autodesk AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred
  • Knowledge of landscape architecture and design fields is preferred
